Introduction: The Plot Structure of a Short Story
Each year the 9th-graders at Dayton Regional STEM School (DRSS) work on a semester-long multi-genre writing project which includes working collaboratively to write a series of short stories.
This section of my website is a mini-workshop to review (or introduce) the plot elements necessary to write a good story. The topics addressed will be exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
